Okay . . . so here is a picture of the downstairs guest bathroom before we finished. I neglected to take a picture of the hideous vanity that was in there before. It was bulky, took up way too much room for such a small space, and was cracked and disgusting. But I am sure you get the general idea . . . .
And now . . . . our spa-like guest bathroom retreat . . . .
Okay, here are a few of Ainsley's nightmare bathroom. To make a very long story short, a friend of mine was living with us until recently and he left his shampoo bottles sitting in the windowsill, which is in the shower. (His bedroom was connected to Ainsley's bedroom by the same bathroom, so Ainsley has just used our bathroom for a while now.) The condensation of the bottles plus the heat from the Vegas sun allowed the perfect set of circumstances to occur, which meant the bottles leaked into the tile, down into the drywall, and over time, it cracked the shower tiles, too. I, of course, didn't know about any of this until he moved out, so we began to rip out her bathroom, too. It was a good thing, too. We knew when we bought this home that the tub had overflowed in there with the last homeowners. (Put three boys under the age of 5 in a bathtub together and see what happens.) The inspector said he detected no mold, but as you can see, there was mold underneath the flooring. So, we cut it down to framing and started over. The end result is rather nice, considering Ainsley got to pick her colors, decorations, etc.
And the final results . . . .
I will post the before and after of our new *green* kitchen in my next post. In other news, my last day of work is Tuesday. I don't have to return until August 19th, so I am hoping I get picked for a fresh embryo transfer for this clinical trial so I can be done (successfully!) by the time school starts up again. I am waiting for cycle day 1, which should be sometime this week and then . . . . let the bloodletting and syringe-fest begin!
Very nice transformations! I'm very excited for your cycle to begin. :) Wishing you the very best of luck.

OOH! I love it. I love that color in the first bathroom, what is it? Like a turquoise-green or something?
Can't wait for your next adventure in mommy-hood :)
