. . . and the nurse called . . .
So, you know that phone call I was expecting to tell me that Mike's sperm should all join the circus because they aren't "normal"? Yeah, well, it didn't happen.
Apparently, Mike's sperm analysis was perfectly normal. This call came as three students were filtering into my classroom, so of course I was multi-tasking and probably missed something. But she said they look for numbers above 20 million per sample. He had 83 million. Motility should be 60% or more and his was 75%. The morphology, which we originally thought might be the issue, was totally normal in their equation with the amount of sperm, etc. I kind of missed the numbers there, but the nurse said, "This is great news! See you next week for your appointment!"
I hung up and starting thinking. How is this good news? I mean, if we want to have answers, wouldn't it be easier to say my husband is the problem? What if they tell me my eggs are crap? What if my tubes are cemented shut? Or worse still . . . what if nothing is wrong?
Congratulations! I know it's tough, but at least you've factored out your husbands sperm. There are things that can be done for everything else. I think I'm living proof! Just found out I'm pregant again from IVF!!!! They haven't told me my eggs are cr@p yet, even though I'm almost 38.
Good luck!!!

I am glad that all is well with Mike's swimmers. I understand wanting to know what the problem is.
It is going to happen for you and I really hope that it happens soon!
Take care!
