Oh, fruitful December, hear my call!

School starts Monday and I have been in training this week for my new position. Lots of information, tons of paperwork to do, but I am looking forward to it. With my renewed sense of optimism, it kind of sucked on Thursday to talk to the chiropractor about my goals. Apparently, along with the herniated discs, I have something called swayback. It could be contributing some to my pain and issues, which by the way are 300% better since I have been going in regularly to get adjusted. But I want to be in better shape and prevent this from happening again. His thoughts? Work on realigning my spine for 10-12 weeks. Get back into yoga and working out, tune down the stress, and  . . .wait to try to conceive.

So, here we are again. On hold. That part of me that wants to scream and cry is getting trampled by the positive part of me that I have been trying to encourage to come out more. Three months of therapy, three months to lose some of those stubborn pounds and eat better. Three months to reconnect with work, students, and my family. Three months to focus on living a better life and not being so wrapped up in material things or things I cannot change. Three months for my husband to meet with our OB, get reevaluated on his SA, possibly take hormones to encourage healthy sperm.

It's just three months. I can do this. And when it is all over, I should feel better and then maybe it won't take so much out of us to make one more healthy child. I can do this, right?

I also have lordosis. Yoga helps so much. When you're in mountain pose, make sure you push your heels down into the floor. It'll help a lot. I can't try again until October, so I'm waiting until then. My game plan is to enjoy some wine and coffee for a few days here and then I will be back to healthy eating. And today I started exercising again and my plan is to exercise a little every day until I'm restricted again after embryo transfer.

oh man. that's a tough one. you can do it, though.
