And this is where my daughter gets rushed to the ER with jellybean intoxication . . . .
Okay, no . . . not really. But gees, if there was such a thing. I had to replenish our jellybean stash already this weekend - We are right in the midsts of "You are a big girl who wears panties!" speechdom with Ainsley. I decided to go cold turkey with her because the child has been peeing on the potty since she was 18 months old, for crying out loud. (with one small break around two where she didn't want to go anymore) So far, so good. We had a few minor incidents yesterday where she would wander into her playroom and then immediately rush out and scream, "Mommy! I got the floor wet!" She would then go right to the potty and end up going more, so I think it is her getting comfortable with the muscle and learning to hold it when she has to go. Like some of Ainsley's other friends who are in the midsts of potty training, she (as of yet) has not released her entire bladder onto the floor. I am hoping we skip that and just have the tiny puddle here and there. As for BMs . . . we will see. She doesn't go everyday. My hopes are that she proves me wrong, once again, and makes this transition easier than I thought.
We got back from San Diego on Wednesday evening. We visited Sea World and the Zoo, which were both great. We had "Breakfast with Elmo and Friends" on Tuesday morning, where you sit in this little outdoor patio area, eat a yummy breakfast, and take pictures with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Telly, Ernie, Bert, and Big Bird. Ainsley had a blast. We skipped the whale and dolphin shows because of the wait times, but visited all of the other exhibits. Ainsley's naps were a little screwy. She slept in her stroller one day and in the car the other two days. Our nighttime sleeping arrangements were also a little wacky - she slept in bed with me and went to sleep much later than usual. (By the time we got home, she was a grouchy little girl, let me tell you!) On Tuesday night, she rolled off the bed, but I had placed pillows there for her and when I grabbed her and put her back on the bed, she was still snoring away. Must not have even known she flew off the bed!
The beach was lovely . . . .
Our hotel had ducks that wandered all around the grounds, so Ainsley was in heaven watching them everywhere we went.
She also really enjoyed the flamingos at Sea World. They let them out at one point to transfer them from one pond area to another, so they just walked along aside us for a few minutes.
When we finally made it over to the Sesame Street play area, we had just walked up to get into line and the ride attendents immediately shut down all of the equipment and posted up a sign that said the rides would be turned off. We were confused, so Mike checked his phone and CNN reported that there had just been an earthquake. We didn't feel it because we were walking on that rubberized kid-friendly play service. So, we skipped the rides and went over to where the water and park area was to let Ainsley run around.
Overall, a great trip!
As for cycling, this was the first month since I began trying I didn't get a peak reading. Ridiculous, since it is so apparent that I ovulated. I also ran out of sticks and since it never gave me a Peak anyway, I gave up. We didn't really hit it on the mark, as I had hoped, but Mike worked a ton before our trip and then we were just plain busy. I just feel a little disgruntled about it - this is the cycle I got pregnant with Ainsley three years ago, so I was hoping July had some magical powers. I have two weeks of vacation left, so I am trying not to think about it . . .
Wishing you lots of luck trying for another!!! Also my piece of a$$vice on potty training. We kept our DD's potty schedule that she had at school on the nights and weekends (except after she went to bed). They have to sit on the potty every 2-3 hours. It was never even a question of "Do you have to go?" It was "It's time to go on the potty!" They never want to stop playing, so the answer to the question is always no.

She's getting so big, and her hair's getting so long! *Sigh* What happened to that baby?
Good luck for the next cycle!
