. . . and the sun peeked through the clouds . . .
Well, let's just say that by Monday evening after I last posted, I was done. I am not a pill-popping kind of girl and the pain was unbearable. So . . I went to the chiropractor Tuesday morning and begged and pleaded for pain relief. After a set of routine x-rays, I came back in the afternoon for a follow-up. It appears that childhood scoliosis, pregnancy, bad posture, and wear and tear have done me in. I have three herniated discs. The good news? According to him, it is all fixable, with time.
I have started in on daily electronic pulse therapy and back and neck adjustments. Today was day two and already, I notice a remarkable difference. I am not without pain yet, but I feel more human and was able to go to my first day of training for the upcoming school year. I am feeling a little more cheery. And the more I think about the stress levels we have endured over the past few months, the better I feel about taking this month off.
It is going to be okay.
Chiropractors are a beautiful thing. Hope you're feeling 100% better soon.
